WordGames.club is a free website with word games. You can play without an account, and we do not ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
What is stored in your browser
- Game progress. Our own games (Guess the Word, Word Search, Hangman and the word helper) keep your settings, statistics and the state of the daily puzzle in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
- Ratings. When you rate a game with a thumb, a small cookie remembers your vote so that you cannot vote twice for the same game.
- Play counter. When you start a game, a cookie that lasts one hour stops the same visit from being counted twice.
What the server keeps
Like every website, our server writes standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page and browser type) that are used to keep the site secure and working. To stop abuse of the rating buttons we keep a one-way hash of the IP address for 24 hours; the address itself is not stored with your votes.
Advertising
The site is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. Games from other websites
Many games on WordGames.club are made by other studios and open inside a frame on our page. Those games are run by their makers, who may use their own cookies and show their own ads under their own privacy policies.
Children
The site is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and no part of the site asks for it.
