Spelling Bee gives you seven letters in a honeycomb. Make as many words as you can from them, and every word must use the letter in the middle. There is a new puzzle every day, the same for all players, and an Unlimited mode when one a day is not enough.

How to play

Words must have at least 4 letters.
Every word must include the centre letter.
Letters can be used more than once: with the letters A, L, P and the centre E you can make APPLE.
Type on your keyboard or tap the hexagons, then press Enter. Space or the round button shuffles the outer letters.

Points and ranks

A 4-letter word scores 1 point.
Longer words score 1 point per letter: GARDEN is worth 6.
A pangram uses all seven letters and earns 7 extra points. Every puzzle has at least one.

As your score grows you climb the ranks, from Beginner through Good, Solid, Nice, Great and Excellent to Wordsmith at 70% of the maximum. Find every word to become Hive Master.

Stuck? Open Hints to see how many words are left, grouped by first letter and length, and the first two letters of the words you still need. After midnight, Yesterday’s answers shows the full list of the previous puzzle, with the words you found in bold.

Which words count

The answers are common English words: no names, no hyphenated words and no abbreviations, and the puzzles never use the letter S, so plurals do not pad the list. If you enter a real but rare word that is not an answer, the game tells you so instead of just saying no.
