Connections Unlimited is a word puzzle with 16 words and one question: which four belong together? Sort the board into four groups of four before you make four mistakes. There is a new puzzle every day, the same for everyone, and Unlimited mode when you want more.

How to play

Tap four words you think share something, then press Submit.
If you are right, the group is revealed with its name. If not, you lose one of your four mistakes.
One away… means three of your four words belong to the same group.
Shuffle mixes the words, which often helps you see a group you missed.

The four colours

Every puzzle has one group of each level. Yellow is the easiest, a plain set like fruits or planets. Green is a little more specific, blue needs some general knowledge, and purple is wordplay: words that go before BALL, hidden animals, letters that sound like words. Several words always look as if they fit two groups; that is the trick of the game.

Tips

Look for the purple group first: if a word looks odd everywhere, it is probably part of a word pattern.
Do not submit the first four words that fit a theme. If you can see five candidates, one of them belongs somewhere else.
Solve the group you are sure of first; fewer words make the rest much easier.

Daily and Unlimited

The daily puzzle changes at midnight and your result is saved, so you can build a winning streak and share your coloured grid without spoiling the answers. In Unlimited mode a new board is ready as soon as you finish.
