Poople is a daily word ladder with a silly goal: every puzzle ends at POOP. You start from a four-letter word and change one letter at a time, and every step on the way has to be a real English word. Reach POOP in as few steps as you can. This is our own version of the popular word ladder, with a daily puzzle and an Unlimited mode.

How to play

Type a four-letter word that differs from the last word by exactly one letter, in the same place. PEAR can become PEER or BEAR, but not REAP.
Letters that already match POOP turn green, and the letter you changed gets an orange line.
Par is the length of the shortest ladder made of common words. Match it for a Par, beat it with a rarer word for a Birdie.
Stuck? Undo takes back a step, Hint shows which letter to change, Reveal next fills in the next word, and Solve shows the rest of the ladder. Helps are counted in your result.
The timer starts with your first step, so you can race your friends.

Daily and Unlimited

The daily puzzle has the same start word for everyone and changes at midnight. Its par is always 4, 5 or 6 steps. In Unlimited you get a new start word whenever you want, from easy three-step ladders to tricky seven-step ones.

An example

From PEAR: PEAR → PEER → PEEP → PREP → PROP → POOP. That is five steps, the par of that puzzle. Words that end in P or have two O's in the middle are good stepping stones: POOL, POOR, LOOP, HOOP, COOP and PROP are all one letter away from POOP.
